Hello, fellow Delhiites and people across the globe, worried about the climate change and environment!
If you have found your way to this website, you might be concerned about the climate change crisis the world is currently going through. Amazon rain forests – lungs of the world are on fire, there is kilometers of micro plastics floating in the oceans, while closer home, we are getting used to cutting of forests, water scarcity, floods and breathing hazardous quality air for a major portion of the year. As research becomes more and more clear, it has become pertinent that individuals have a huge role to play in the fight against climate change. We can start by making more sustainable choices at the individual level while also demanding genuine action from industries and governments at the national and international level.
September 2019 saw the global climate strike, children around the world taking to the streets to demand for action for a better world and a better future. It’s time we lend them a hand. While the strike is over, we need to keep the conversation going and even take it forward to convert it into action, for the fight against climate change is not over, it has just begun.
We bring you Project Zero Waste, an initiative to fight climate change by reducing our waste. Through this initiative, we will explore and share with you, sustainable alternatives and ways to reduce and manage waste.
We are researchers and doers, and will be learning as we go. We ask you to join us in this journey, write to us with your views, ideas, challenges and we will incorporate that in our initiative.
Let’s learn together and fight together!
